The hotel sits at the heart of the Neubau district, surrounded by shops, cafés, and restaurants (Bao Bar, Kaffemik, and Joseph Brot are within 300m). The U3 Neubaugasse station is 100 metres away, connecting directly to the historic centre and the MuseumsQuartier in under 10 minutes. Many major attractions - Hofburg, Vienna State Opera, and the Aquarium - are within a 15-20 minute walk. The immediate area is pedestrian-friendly and well-served by public transport, though the building itself is set in a mixed-use residential block with some nearby construction activity.

Standard double rooms are functional but can be small, with dated furniture and limited natural light - many face internal walls or have only skylights. Apartments offer more space: separate living areas, fully equipped kitchens (dishwasher, washing machine, cookware), and balconies with city views. All units include air conditioning (subject to seasonal use), heating, soundproof walls, a minibar, and a hairdryer. Bed comfort varies; some rooms have very soft or unsupportive mattresses. Noise can be an issue in road-facing rooms, especially at night. Light sleepers should request a room away from Mariahilfer Straße.

Breakfast is available for €21 per person and includes bread, cold cuts, cheese, eggs (boiled or scrambled), yoghurt, fruit, pastries, and coffee from a machine. The breakfast room is small, which can lead to crowding between 8:00-9:00, and seating may be limited. The selection is basic but adequate for a morning start. There is no restaurant or bar on the property, but the surrounding shopping street offers numerous cafés, bakeries, and restaurants within a short walk.

There is no spa, gym, sauna, jacuzzi, or pool at Hotel Haydn. The hotel's location compensates for the lack of on-site leisure: the Aquarium and the MuseumsQuartier are within walking distance, and the U3 metro provides quick access to the Prater, Schönbrunn Palace, and the Vienna Zoo. For families, the nearby Haus des Meeres aquarium is a popular stop.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Reception is open 24 hours and can assist with tours, laundry (additional charge), and airport shuttle arrangements (€40-€50 one way). Daily housekeeping is included; towels are changed regularly. Luggage storage is free and available before check-in or after check-out.
