PREMIER INN GLASGOW CITY - BUCHANAN GALLERIES, Glasgow

The hotel sits right next to Buchanan Galleries shopping centre, putting shops, restaurants, and entertainment on the doorstep. Sauchiehall Street and Buchanan Street are just outside, and it's a 5-minute walk to the Royal Concert Hall, Pavilion Theatre, and Theatre Royal. Central Station is about a 10-minute walk, and the subway is a 5-minute stroll away, making car-free exploration easy. The surrounding area is lively, with many pubs, cafes, and dining options within a few minutes' walk.

Standard rooms offer a comfortable bed with a Hypnos mattress and good-quality bedding. Premier Plus rooms are larger and include extras such as a coffee machine, a mini-fridge with bottled water, and chocolates. Family rooms feature a double and a single bed, though some are described as more compact than other Premier Inn locations. Bathrooms are modern, with many featuring large walk-in showers or baths with good water pressure. Rooms on higher floors provide excellent views of the city. Windows are sealed shut, so the air conditioning controls the temperature; it generally works well but sometimes cannot cool below 19°C. Noise from lifts and road-facing rooms can be noticeable, but higher floors tend to be quieter. Blackout curtains help with sleep. Room styling is practical and functional, with some areas showing signs of wear such as chipped paint or worn carpet.

Breakfast is a cooked buffet offering a full Scottish breakfast, as well as continental options like yoghurt, fruit, and pastries. It costs £9 per person and is generally well-regarded for quality and choice. The dinner menu features classic pub-style dishes such as burgers, curries, and grills, and there is a meal deal available. Service at both breakfast and dinner can be significantly affected by understaffing, leading to long waits for food and drinks. Food quality at dinner is reported as inconsistent, with some dishes being poor. The bar is often understocked and understaffed. Given these limitations, many choose to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants.

Wellness facilities are limited to what the city centre offers; the hotel itself provides no leisure amenities such as a fitness centre or pool. This makes it best suited for guests whose primary focus is location and convenience for city exploration, shopping, or events.
