The hotel sits right next to Edinburgh Park station, served by trains and trams. The tram runs every 7-8 minutes to Princes Street (about 15minutes) and to Edinburgh Airport (about 10minutes). Trains reach the city centre in around 7minutes. A large retail park with supermarkets, home goods, and sports stores is directly opposite, and the hotel is a 10-minute drive from the airport terminal. The location is particularly practical for those arriving by car, as it sits just off the Edinburgh City Bypass, and for families or business travellers needing quick access to both the city and the airport.

Rooms are clean and bright, though the flooring and soft furnishings in some standard rooms show signs of wear. The bathrooms feature a shower over the bath; Premier Plus rooms have a walk-in shower with both standard and rainfall settings. Windows do not open, so the room temperature is managed by an air conditioning unit. Some units have been reported as less effective on warm days, so a room on the car park side tends to be quieter and cooler. The Premier Plus rooms include a small fridge, a coffee machine, a padded bench, and extra storage - practical for longer stays or for a relaxing evening in. Bedding and towels are refreshed on request, and extra pillows are available. Blackout curtains are fitted in all rooms.

Breakfast is served as an all-you-can-eat buffet featuring a hot selection of sausages, bacon, fried eggs, porridge, and pancakes (including scotch pancakes), plus a continental section with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, and crumpets. Murrayfield Stadium is a 15-minute tram ride, and the city centre's festivals, museums, and historic sites are easily reached by the same tram. The hotel bar provides a comfortable space for an evening drink, but there are no organised on-site leisure activities or entertainment.

Parking costs £4.50 per 24hours and is managed by a third-party system - you must enter your vehicle registration at the payment machine on arrival to avoid a penalty charge. The hotel has a lift and accessible rooms; however, there is no regular shuttle service - the tram is the recommended connection to the airport.
