Rooms are compact - dormitories hold 6, 8, or 9 bunk beds in layouts of two or three tiers of bunks, depending on the room. The private double room offers a double bed with a larger duvet each, clothes hangers, and a bin. All rooms have central heating but no air conditioning; windows usually are restrictor-locked, and rooms with large external floodlights may be bright at night. Mattresses vary in firmness and some are described as sinking.
