The surrounding neighborhood shows signs of age, and the property is set behind a Carl's Jr. near a gas station with occasional foot traffic. While the immediate area feels a little run-down, the parking lot is well-lit and the building itself has a separate entrance, which helps the site feel secure. Entering the hotel is easiest by turning at the 7-Eleven rather than the main I-25 exit, as GPS routing can be misleading. The airport is roughly 15 minutes without traffic.
