While the location is close to downtown and several fast-food restaurants within a 5-minute walk, the immediate neighborhood has a visible homeless population, particularly in the park across the street. Walking after dark is not advisable. Public transport is available via a bus stop a short walk away, and the Greyhound station is about 5 minutes on foot, making it practical for car-free arrivals. A car is recommended for exploring attractions.

Standard rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, a cable TV, ironing facilities, and a tea and coffee maker. Beds are either one double or two queens; one double room includes a jet bathtub. Some rooms offer a kitchenette (request when booking). The property is older, and cleanliness has been inconsistent in some stays. Rooms facing the highway or on lower floors may experience more noise from traffic and trains; a second-floor room is quieter and offers mountain views. There are no balconies.
