QUALITY INN PHOENIX AIRPORT, Phoenix

Direct highway access makes the wider Phoenix area easy to cover by car, and the free shuttle handles airport transfers. The surrounding business district puts everyday shopping within a short drive, with Walmart, Costco, Walgreens and Safeway all nearby. Several restaurants are within walking distance, including Fresko A Mediterranean Kitchen, Sakana Sushi & Grill and Caffe Boa about half a kilometre away, with Biscuits around 1 km away. South Mountain Park's Pima Canyon area is about five minutes by car for hiking. The location favours car-based trips, while the shuttle removes the need to park at the terminal.

Accommodation is older and budget-oriented, with carpeted floors, compact bathrooms and practical furnishings rather than luxury finishes. Beds are comfortable, and rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, free toiletries and an alarm clock; selected rooms add a fridge, microwave and a separate living space with sofa. Rooms hold a maximum of four people and there is no capacity for cots or extra beds, so families should book enough existing beds. Some air-conditioning units are older and audible, and soundproofing between rooms is limited; top-floor rooms away from the freeway are the quieter option.

The buffet-style breakfast is included in the rate and is refreshed through the morning, with hot items plus cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee and juice. The breakfast room can get busy when the hotel is full, so coming down early gives the widest choice. For lunch and dinner, nearby options include Fresko A Mediterranean Kitchen, Sakana Sushi & Grill and Caffe Boa roughly half a kilometre away, and Biscuits about 1 km away. A petrol station and shops are also on the same road, which is practical for picking up supplies.

The pool area is a central leisure feature, with a large heated pool, a hot tub, sun loungers and umbrellas, and towels provided. The fitness centre is free to use, and outdoor furniture offers places to relax outside. Use of the pool, hot tub and gym is included in the room rate. For active outings, South Mountain Park's Pima Canyon area is about five minutes away by car, and golf courses are close by. During busy periods the pool and hot tub see heavy use, so swimming earlier or later in the day can mean more space.

Wheelchair-accessible rooms include grab rails, an emergency cord in the bathroom, and Braille, tactile and auditory guidance aids; a lift serves all floors. The free business centre provides fax and photocopying, while meeting and banquet facilities are bookable for an additional charge. Daily housekeeping is included in the stay, and laundry and dry-cleaning services are available for an extra fee; at busy times the 24-hour front desk can supply towels and essentials on request. Security features include key card access, 24-hour security, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers, and a shared lounge/TV area is available. Pet bowls are provided for pet owners.
