QUALITY INN SOUTH, Wichita

Quality Inn South sits in a commercial area of Wichita, 15 km from Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport and about 11 km from major downtown venues like Century II Convention Center and Intrust Bank Arena. Several chain restaurants - Hog Wild Pit Bar Bq, Spangles, El Viejito Mexican Restaurant, New China Buffet, and Carlos O'Kelly's Mexican Cafe - are within 1 km, offering alternatives when the hotel's breakfast is unavailable. Free on-site parking is available without reservation, but the neighborhood has been noted as feeling unsafe, with multiple reports of broken exterior locks and drug activity nearby. Walking around the area after dark is not recommended.

The hotel has a seasonal outdoor saltwater swimming pool with a shallow end, sun loungers, and a fence around it. However, many reports indicate the pool is frequently closed due to disrepair or storm damage, with weeds growing in the area. The fitness centre is available at no extra charge but is basic. There is no spa or wellness centre. The pool and grounds are not reliable leisure options.

Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking (no reservation required) are provided. The property has a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/out, luggage storage, a business centre, and safety deposit boxes. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for a fee. Pets are allowed with possible extra charges. However, the 24-hour front desk is often unattended, and guests frequently report long waits, non-functional phones, and trouble getting help. Exterior doors are often broken, and the property's general condition is neglected. Key card access is used but broken entry points reduce security.
