GARNER HOTEL DEL VALLE - AUSTIN SOUTHEAST BY IHG, Del Valle

The hotel sits on Highway 71, 1km from the airport terminal, making it a practical choice for early flights or layovers. Downtown Austin attractions - including the Convention Center, Frank Erwin Center, and Capitol Building - are 12km away; Moody Center and Texas Memorial Stadium are 13km. The immediate area is largely industrial and not walkable; a car or the hotel's free shuttle is recommended for errands. Nearest grocery stores (Walmart, HEB) are about 8.5-14 km away.

Rooms include air conditioning, free WiFi, and a TV, with daily housekeeping and luggage storage available. The hotel is currently under renovation, so room conditions may vary - some units show signs of wear such as outdated fixtures or odours. Light sleepers should request a room away from construction areas, as noise from renovation and airport traffic can occur. The property has a lift and is wheelchair accessible. No rooms with balconies are available.

Breakfast is provided free of charge each morning, offering a basic continental selection. There is no restaurant or bar on the property, but vending machines with drinks and snacks are available in the shared lounge area. For a fuller meal, nearby grocery stores (Walmart, HEB) are about 8.5-14 km away, and several fast-food options can be found along the highway.

The hotel does not offer a swimming pool, spa, or gym. For downtime, the shared lounge/TV area is available 24/7, and the 24-hour front desk can assist with local recommendations. The property's strength is its airport convenience rather than leisure amenities.

WiFi is free throughout the hotel. On-site parking is free but requires a reservation; a Park-n-Fly program allows long-term parking with the first 7 days free (then $10/day). The airport shuttle is free and runs Monday-Saturday 5am-11pm (every 30min); no shuttle on Sundays. Additional services include daily housekeeping, laundry, express check-in/out, an ATM on site, and luggage storage. The property is wheelchair accessible with a lift and designated smoking area. Pets are allowed with possible charges. Security features include CCTV, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers.
