Desert Rose Resort is situated less than 2 blocks from the Las Vegas Strip but in a quieter area away from casino crowds. It is adjacent to McCarran International Airport - approximately a 5-minute drive - and about 3 km from the Fountains at Bellagio. The nearest casino is a 5-minute walk. For reaching the northern Strip, rideshare or taxi is recommended. Free on-site parking is uncovered with no height limit and reservation not needed; limited oversized parking is available. The MGM Grand monorail station is within walking distance for car-free trips along the Strip.

All accommodations are suites, not standard rooms. One-bedroom suites feature a king bed in the bedroom plus a queen sofa bed in the living room, and have one bathroom. Two-bedroom suites have a king bed in the main room, a queen bed in the second room, a queen sofa bed in the living room, and two full bathrooms (one ensuite, one in the hallway). Every suite includes a fully equipped kitchen with full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, cookware, utensils, and coffee machine. A private balcony or patio is standard. TVs are in both bedrooms and the living room. Units are air-conditioned and heated. Suites on the ground floor may have more foot noise from above; top-floor units away from elevators are quieter. Some rooms have limited partial Strip views based on availability. Handicap-accessible suites are available.

Desert Rose Resort's newest addition is Ellington's Bar and Grill, serving cocktails and lighter fare in a relaxed atmosphere. It is open Monday-Friday 12:00-20:00 and weekends 08:00-22:00. Breakfast is available for purchase from the bar - typically Saturday and Sunday mornings 08:00-11:00. There is no complimentary breakfast. The bar also offers wine/champagne and a coffee house on site. For guests who prefer to cook, each suite has a full kitchen, and a convenience store/minimarket is on the property. Nearby grocery delivery (e.g., Vons with free first order over $30) is an option. The on-site barbecue area has gas grills and is near the pool.

The spacious heated outdoor pool is surrounded by palm trees and open year-round from 08:00 to 23:00. Sun loungers and pool towels are provided. The hot tub/jacuzzi is also free. The fitness centre is well-equipped. For leisure, enjoy billiards (free), table tennis (free), and a golf course within 3 km (additional charge). The pool area features a barbecue grill area, outdoor fireplace, and picnic area, plus daily activities like corn hole and ping pong. There is no spa on site. Poolside chair availability is first-come, first-served; no cabanas are available.

WiFi is free throughout the resort - basic plan at 15.36 MB and enhanced at 30.75 MB download/upload speeds. Free public parking is available on site without reservation; it is uncovered and has no height limit. Accessible parking is available. The 24-hour front desk offers concierge, tour desk, and ATM. Luggage storage is free, both before check-in and after checkout. Laundry rooms are located on the first floor of three of the four buildings; rooms with in-suite washers/dryers are not available, but you can request a building with laundry upon check-in. A business centre is free. Elevators are present in each building. The property has key card and key access, smoke alarms, and 24-hour security. Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available, and the property has Braille signage and grab rails in accessible toilets. Cribs (pack and plays) are available on request. Pets are not allowed; service animals are permitted with no extra fee.
