QUALITY INN & SUITES SACRAMENTO DOWNTOWN AREA, Sacramento

The location is a practical base for downtown events, with Old Sacramento, the Convention Center, and the Golden 1 Center all within 2 km or a short drive. A bus stop immediately in front provides public transit access, and the Amtrak station is nearby. The area around the property includes gas stations and has a high level of foot traffic, including homeless individuals, particularly after dark; parking lot security is monitored by CCTV. The immediate vicinity lacks dining and shopping, but downtown restaurants and the riverfront are within walking distance. The hotel is also close to Discovery Park, the SMUD Science Museum, and a walking trail along the river.

The hotel offers double rooms, family units, and suites, with some suites including a jacuzzi tub and a separate sitting area. Many rooms have been recently remodeled and are described as spacious, clean, and comfortable. However, some units show signs of age, such as worn paint and outdated decor. Certain rooms may retain cigarette smoke odors despite the property being non-smoking. Road-facing rooms can experience noise from traffic and parking lot activity, particularly at night. Families and pet owners appreciate the practicality of the mini-fridge and microwave. The property does not offer connecting rooms.

Breakfast is a self-serve buffet with waffles, yogurt, cereal, muffins, toast, and a choice of coffee, orange, or apple juice. The selection is limited to continental items-no hot protein such as eggs or bacon is offered. Some guests find the variety basic but adequate to start the day. The breakfast area is located within the hotel; no on-site restaurant, bar, or cafe is available. Fast food (McDonald's, 0.5 km) and a few casual dining spots (Burgers and Brew, 2 km; Westside by Identity Coffees, 2 km) are nearby.

Parking is free and plentiful on site, with no reservation needed; CCTV cameras monitor the lot for added security. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and daily housekeeping (laundry available for an additional charge). A 24-hour business centre with free fax/photocopying is on site. The property has vending machines for drinks and snacks, a shared lounge/TV area, and key card access. Accessible rooms are available. Services are practical for quick stays.
