RAMADA BY WYNDHAM EDMONTON SOUTH, Edmonton

The hotel sits 2 km from the Children's Educational Wildlife Museum, 9 km from Muttart Conservatory, and is within a short drive of West Edmonton Mall and Fort Edmonton Park. Commonwealth Stadium is also nearby. Edmonton International Airport is a 30-40 minute drive away, with no hotel shuttle - taxis or ride-shares are the main options. The location is car-dependent: multiple chain restaurants (A&W, McDonald's) are within 0.5 km, and a Red Arrow bus depot on site provides transit connections, but walkability beyond the immediate strip is limited. The area has a bus depot and grocery stores within easy reach, though the hotel's parking lot and immediate surroundings can feel less secure due to loitering.

Room types include standard double rooms (some with balconies), studio suites with a separate king and queen bed, and jacuzzi suites for couples. All rooms feature a 37-inch flat-screen TV with streaming apps, microwave, coffee maker, mini-fridge, and a private bathroom with tub or shower. Balconies are available on Deluxe Two Queen or Deluxe Business King rooms. The rooms are carpeted and classic in style, but many show signs of aging: stained carpet, squeaky beds, dim lighting, and poorly maintained bathrooms with non-functional faucets. Air conditioning can be loud, and noise insulation between rooms and from hallways is weak - rooms near the elevator are especially disruptive. Regular bathtubs are standard (not soaker tubs). Guests have reported that housekeeping may not change sheets between stays and that some rooms have a persistent odour or visible dirt. The overall feel is that of a dated, budget-style accommodation; rooms booked as 'superior' may not match the advertised furnishings.

The on-site Len'Steves Restaurant & Lounge operates from 08:00 to 22:00 daily, offering a menu that blends American, Italian, and Asian dishes - steaks, salads, and cooked breakfasts. Breakfast is not free for all rates; some packages include a light breakfast bag, while the full cooked continental breakfast costs approximately $16 and includes eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and toast. The restaurant has beamed ceilings and stone walls with wooden furniture, but it does not provide room service. Outside food deliveries can be brought to the room if the delivery order specifies the guest's room number. A liquor store is attached to the hotel, and there is a bar with pool tables on site. Several chain restaurants (A&W, McDonald's, Chinese hot pot) are within a 5-minute walk for additional choices.
