RAMADA BY WYNDHAM WEST EDMONTON HOTEL & SUITES, Edmonton

Located 33 km from Edmonton International Airport, the property sits in an industrial area with a noticeable transient population, which may affect perceived security. The immediate surroundings include a truck depot and a mix of commercial buildings. Within a short walk or drive, you'll find casual dining options such as Burger Baron (0.5 km), Szechuan Castle (0.5 km), and Country Cookin (1 km). An ice-skating rink and Casino Yellowhead (3 km) are also nearby. The location is most convenient for those with a car, as public transport is limited. The hotel's free parking is a significant advantage, though the back lot has limited camera coverage.

No breakfast service or restaurant is available on the property. Several casual eateries are within a short walk: Burger Baron (0.5 km) serves fast-food, Szechuan Castle (0.5 km) offers Chinese cuisine, and Country Cookin (1 km) provides homestyle meals. The new west restaurant (0.5 km) serves American and Argentinian dishes open daily 06:00-19:00. For a quick coffee, Tim Hortons is nearby. During previous renovation periods, the hotel provided gift cards, but this is not a regular offering. The kitchenette in each room allows self-catering, but you may need to bring your own supplies.

The fitness centre is open 24 hours and includes basic equipment such as a treadmill and weights; some users have noted it would benefit from more variety. The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, sauna, or jacuzzi. For outdoor recreation, an ice-skating rink is located in the neighbourhood. The lack of on-site leisure facilities makes the hotel more suited for short stays or those focused on practical amenities.

Parking is free on-site in both front and back lots, with no reservation needed. A $100 CAD deposit is required by credit card at check-in; prepaid cards are not accepted. The hotel is pet-friendly with applicable charges. Housekeeping is provided daily but may need to be requested for re-stocking of towels and toiletries. There is no luggage storage or laundry facility on site. The property has a lift and wheelchair-accessible rooms with extra space. The front desk is staffed 24 hours, though response times may vary. Safety features include smoke alarms and an invoice provided upon request.
