The hotel sits on Av. Yaxchilán, right in the heart of Cancun Centro. The Cancun Bus Station is about 100 meters away, and the ADO terminal is a 5-minute walk - bus travellers find this location exceptionally convenient. Parque las Palapas with its evening food stalls and cultural performances is just behind the hotel. Numerous restaurants (including several within 300 metres) and markets such as Mercado 28 and Mercado 23 are within easy walking distance. Cancun International Airport is 17 km away, roughly a 30-minute drive. The neighbourhood is safe for walking before midnight, but after dark other parts can feel less vibrant. A free daily shuttle runs to Gaviota Azul and Mandela Beach in the hotel zone. For guests without a car, walking is the primary way to explore the immediate area, and taxis or Uber are readily available for longer trips.

Standard rooms are generous in size and feature double or twin beds, individually controlled air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries, a balcony (often with pool or street views), a work desk, flat-screen TV with cable channels, ironing board, wardrobe, and a safety deposit box. Some rooms overlook the pool, which tends to be quieter. Road-facing rooms can experience street noise, especially early morning; light sleepers should request a higher floor or pool view. The property is older and shows some wear, but rooms are cleaned daily and kept in a functional, tidy condition. No fridge, microwave, or coffee maker is provided in the rooms. Pillows are memory foam - very firm - and mattresses vary in comfort from firm to softer. The bathroom layout in some rooms requires you to touch the toilet seat to close the door; this is a tight design for larger guests. Sound insulation between rooms and corridors is minimal, so expect hallway noise and slamming doors.

Breakfast is a highlight: a generous buffet served from 07:00 to around 10:30, with an omelette station, fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, granola, and a rotation of Mexican dishes such as chilaquiles, tacos, and eggs with salsa. Coffee is available but sometimes described as weak. Vegetarian and vegan-friendly options have been noted. The restaurant Cocodrillo serves brunch and lunch in a family-friendly, modern setting with a grill/BBQ focus. The pool bar offers drinks and light snacks, and there is also a coffee shop and snack bar. Dinner service may end early without notice. Several very good restaurants are within a 2-minute walk, including La Parrilla Cancun and 100% Natural. Breakfast is included in most rates; arrangements for early departures (before 07:00) cannot be guaranteed - plan ahead if you have a morning flight or tour.

The pool is a central, well-landscaped area with a shallow end, sun loungers, umbrellas, and a pool bar. It is open daily from 09:00 to 22:00. Though not heated, the water temperature is pleasant for cooling off in the heat. The pool courtyard can be shaded for much of the day, which keeps the water cool but also means sunbathers may need to move around to find direct sunlight. The fitness centre has basic equipment for a functional workout; some equipment shows wear. A public bath is also available. The sun terrace is spacious and well-maintained. The hotel offers a free daily shuttle to Gaviota Azul and Mandela Beach (with a discounted beach club entry available). Families with children use the pool comfortably, and there is plenty of space to relax without feeling crowded.

The front desk operates around the clock, enabling late check-ins and early departures. Luggage storage is offered, which is useful for guests arriving before check-in or departing after checkout. Daily housekeeping keeps rooms clean and provides two small bottles of water per day. The business centre offers a workspace and printing facilities. Laundry service is available for an additional charge. Free private parking is offered but is very limited (about 10 spaces) and cannot be reserved; it operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
