The immediate street is lined with restaurants and a bar that can be audible at night, so rooms facing the rear are much quieter. Two metro stations (Vavin on line 4 and Montparnasse-Bienvenue on lines 6, 12 and 13) are within a short walk and connect directly to the Champs-Élysées, Châtelet and the rest of Paris. Luxembourg Gardens is also reachable on foot in about 15 minutes, making the area suitable for both sightseeing and quick train departures from Montparnasse station.

The hotel offers simple, double and quadruple rooms, all with a private bathroom (bath or shower), hairdryer, free toiletries, safe, direct-dial telephone and satellite TV (Canal+, CNN). Some rooms have a walk-in shower, some a bathtub. Room sizes range from compact singles to spacious quadruples; the latter can comfortably sleep four but the sofa bed's position may block the bathroom door. Soundproofing is partial; road-facing rooms suffer from street noise, while rooms at the rear are notably quieter. Elevator access is available, but not all rooms are on the same floor as the lift. Condition varies: some rooms feel dated with worn furniture, stained walls and ageing bathrooms, while others are clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping is generally thorough. Accessible rooms can be requested. No rooms have a balcony.

The breakfast includes a selection of breads, pastries, jams, honey, dairy products, cold cuts and hot drinks. It is a continental-style buffet, not a full hot breakfast. The breakfast room is compact, so late arrivals may need to wait for a table. Given the modest offering and occasional wait times, some travellers find the cost relatively high for what is included. The surrounding street offers many crêperies, cafés and bakeries for those wanting a more leisurely or varied morning meal. In-room breakfast is also available.
