RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT MYRTLE BEACH OCEANFRONT, Myrtle Beach

The hotel sits on the oceanfront south of central Myrtle Beach, within a 5-minute drive of Myrtle Beach International Airport. The Market Common shopping and dining area is 3 km away, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is 4 km, and the SkyWheel is 5 km. Broadway at the Beach and the Myrtle Beach Convention Center are each 6 km from the property. The immediate area offers several restaurants within 0.5 km, including Mama Mia Pizzeria and Compass Rose Restaurant. The on-site parking garage provides direct access but requires navigating narrow ramps and multiple elevators; parking on the correct level is important to avoid extra walking. The beachfront location means direct access to the sand, but some users find the garage layout challenging for larger vehicles.

Every accommodation is a studio suite (with the exception of penthouse and 2-bedroom junior penthouse suites, which have separated bedrooms). The standard studio layout includes a private balcony with either an ocean view (sides of building) or oceanfront view (directly beach-side). All rooms have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable, a tea and coffee maker, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. The kitchen is equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and full cookware. Bed configurations vary: some rooms feature a King bed in the main area plus twin bunk beds in a separate nook, while others have 2 Queen beds plus a sofa bed. Walk-in showers provide good accessibility. Some users note that room cleanliness standards can vary, particularly with carpets and pull-out sofa mattresses. The entire property is non-smoking, including balconies.

A free continental breakfast is served each morning from the first-floor dining area, offering hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal, oatmeal, instant grits, juices, coffee, tea, and milk. During peak season, the breakfast area includes indoor and ocean-side seating with views. The Driftwood Bar & Grill on the second floor is open daily (Monday-Thursday & Sunday 16:00-23:00; Friday-Saturday 11:00-23:00), serving American and seafood fare. The restaurant offers kids' meals and gluten-free options (bagels and blueberry muffins). A welcome drink is offered at check-in, and wine/champagne is available for purchase. For self-catering, each room's full kitchen allows guests to prepare their own meals.

The outdoor heated pool is open all year, with pool/beach towels and sun loungers available. A separate children's pool is on site. The fitness centre, accessible 24 hours, faces the ocean and offers free use of cardio and strength equipment. The hotel provides direct beach access, and beach umbrellas and chairs are available for rent on the sand. For those who prefer not to rent, the beachfront itself is free. The property also has a picnic area with BBQ facilities, an outdoor fireplace, and a fire pit for evening use. Bicycle rental and bike tours are available for an additional charge. Kids' outdoor play equipment and a children's play area are on the premises.

Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out, concierge service, tour desk, and luggage storage via lockers. A business centre with fax/photocopying is available. Laundry and dry cleaning are offered for an additional charge. The property has a convenience store on site, plus vending machines for snacks and drinks. Accessible parking and a parking garage (with tight ramps) are provided for $20 per day. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, and in-room safes. Pets are allowed with a non-refundable $150 fee (36 kg weight limit, 2 pets per room); service animals are exempt from the fee. The hotel is a non-smoking property throughout.
