Hotel Details

Location

Restay Frontier sits just 150 metres from Otsuka Station on Tokyo's Yamanote Line, offering direct access to Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Tokyo Station.

The hotel is centrally located in a safe, quiet neighbourhood within a two-minute walk of Otsuka Station. The Yamanote Line loops through Tokyo's key districts, making sightseeing straightforward without transfers. Surrounding streets are filled with convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart), supermarkets (Aeon), pharmacies, and a Don Quijote discount store. Numerous restaurants, including a sushi spot, McDonald's, and Starbucks, are within a three-minute walk. Tokyo Haneda Airport is 27 km away; use the Yamanote Line to Shinagawa for the Keikyu Line airport express. Otsuka also connects to the Arakawa Tram Line for a scenic ride. The area is lively in the evening yet feels secure.

Dining

The hotel has no restaurant, but Otsuka Station's immediate surroundings offer dozens of dining options within a three-minute walk.

Breakfast is not served on-site; however, the hotel provides free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate from a machine in the lobby 24 hours a day. Restaurants directly adjacent include Japanese, sushi, ramen, yakitori, and international chains such as McDonald's, Denny's, and Mos Burger. A Starbucks is two minutes away. Several convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart, Aeon) sell fresh sandwiches, onigiri, and drinks. The neighbourhood also has a Don Quijote for snacks and drinks. Given the variety and proximity, self-catering breakfasts and dinners are easy to arrange.

Wellness and Leisure

Many rooms feature a private in-room whirlpool bathtub or Jacuzzi, with the option to request a specific room for this feature.

The hotel is an adults-only property, contributing to a calm and uncrowded atmosphere. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The area is safe and walkable, with good access to parks (Sugamo Park is 400 metres away) and public transport. No spa or swimming pool is on site, but the large bathtubs, free coffee, and the option to relax in a spacious room after a day of sightseeing form the core leisure proposition. Free streaming-capable TVs add to the in-room entertainment.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage, a 24-hour front desk, and a free combined washer-dryer are available, along with a drinks vending machine and minimarket.

Check-in is possible after 18:00. Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out is free; staff can bring bags to the room for later arrivals. A 24-hour front desk staffs kind and multilingual personnel (translation devices are used if needed). A drinks vending machine is on site, as is a minimarket with essentials. The property accepts major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, JCB, Discover, UC, UnionPay). Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key access. Housekeeping is provided on request. A trouser press and fax/photocopying service are available for an extra charge. No airport shuttle, no pets, and no on-site restaurant or spa.
