RIDGEMOUNT HOTEL, London

Located in the Bloomsbury area of Central London and the Camden district, the Ridgemount Hotel is near The British Museum, Oxford Street, Covent Garden, Soho, Piccadilly, and the West End. The hotel is part of a Georgian Terrace still owned by the Duke of Bedford. The buildings are still referred to as ' The Ridgemount' and ' The Georgian'. Safety features include a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher, a smoke detector, a security system, a first aid kit, and window guards. Additional amenities include a television in a common area and tour/ticket assistance. The staff speaks Welsh and English at the reception.

The Ridgemount Hotel has 32 clean and comfortable rooms set over four floors of two Georgian townhouses. Rooms have fresh linens, smart TVs, tea/coffee making facilities, and en suite shower rooms. Some rooms have shared showers and toilets located outside the room. The bedrooms feature an en suite shower, a hair dryer and a TV. Some bedrooms offer the use of shared bathrooms, plus a TV and hairdryer. The rooms at the top of 65 - 67 Gower Street are smaller than those lower down the house. The houses still maintain many of their original features: the plasterwork and the staircases as well as the fireplaces.

Full English breakfast is served in the light and airy dining room, with a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cereals and toasts on offer.

Guests can use the lounge upon arrival or to relax after sightseeing. It has comfortable sofas and dispensing machines for hot and cold drinks. There are two computers with internet access in the guest lounge. Guests can access a private garden at the rear of the hotel. A laundry service is available; laundry left in the morning is washed and folded by the evening, for £10 per 4 kilos. An ironing board is also available. Luggage can be left after check out for collection later in the day.

From Heathrow Airport, take the Piccadilly line to RUSSELL SQUARE, walk through the university building, keep going until you reach the traffic lights at Gower Street, then turn right into GOWER STREET. To go via Goodge Street, take the Piccadilly line from Heathrow to LEICESTER SQUARE, transfer to the Northern line, and GOODGE STREET station is two stops north of Leicester Square. From Gatwick Airport, take the Gatwick Express to VICTORIA STATION, transfer to the Victoria line (north) to WARREN STREET station (3 stops), then walk or transfer to the Northern line for 1 stop to GOODGE STREET station. From Stansted Airport, take the train to LIVERPOOL STREET, transfer to the Circle line/Hammersmith & City line/Metropolitan line to EUSTON SQUARE station. From King's Cross Station and St Pancras International, take the Circle line/Hammersmith & City line/Metropolitan line one stop to EUSTON SQUARE station. Take the Docklands Light Railway to CANNING TOWN, transfer to the Jubilee line to WATERLOO, then change to the Northern line (five stops north) to GOODGE STREET.
