ROOMS ARIBAU, Barcelona

The property sits on a central street with easy access to major Gaudi landmarks - Casa Batlló and La Pedrera are each less than a kilometre away. Plaça de Catalunya is a 15-minute walk or a short metro ride, and Barcelona El Prat Airport is 12km distant. The neighbourhood is lively with bars, restaurants and shops within a few minutes' walk, and metro and bus stops are close by, making car-free exploration straightforward. The area feels safe day and night, and many sights are reachable on foot.

Rooms are simple and practical, each equipped with air conditioning (charged extra), a washing machine, tea and coffee maker, wardrobe, and flat-screen TV. A shared bathroom is standard - two shared bathrooms are available and are usually clean. Some rooms have a balcony and large windows, which provide natural light and a breeze; rooms without windows exist and can feel stuffy. The quadruple room is spacious and has two beds. Noise levels vary: rooms facing the street may pick up traffic sounds, while rooms at the rear can hear noise from a nearby school playground during the day (roughly 08:00 to 20:00). Closing windows reduces street noise considerably. The building has a small lift.

The shared kitchen includes a refrigerator (with separate shelves per room), microwave, stovetop, toaster, electric kettle, and kitchenware. Coffee and tea making facilities are in each room. For eating out, the surrounding streets are packed with options: many bars, cafes, and restaurants - including Sr.Noodles, Comico-Comico, Osmosis, Orac, Robata, and Foc i Oli - are within a few minutes' walk. A café (Santagloria) is very close by for breakfast or coffee. This setup works well for travellers who prefer to cook occasionally and explore local dining.

Wi-Fi is free throughout and reported as good. The building has a lift. Common areas (kitchen, bathrooms) are cleaned daily. Paid services include daily housekeeping (EUR10/day), laundry (EUR15/wash), and luggage storage on departure day (EUR10 until 18:00, then EUR5/hour). Air conditioning is a paid extra (EUR10/day). Check-in is managed via WhatsApp or the booking platform app, and staff are responsive in English and Spanish. No parking is available.
