The main entrance (red door) is right next to a bus stop, providing direct routes into central Liverpool. Lime Street Station is a 5-minute taxi ride or a 10-minute walk. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is 20 minutes by car or taxi. O2 Academy is a short walk away, and Albert Dock is about 2 km. The immediate area has a variety of takeaway restaurants and convenience stores, though the street can be busy. The walk to the centre is slightly uphill. Note that there is ongoing demolition work nearby, which may contribute to street noise.

Each room includes a sink, towels, linens, free toiletries, and heating. Bathrooms are shared - two bathrooms serve up to seven rooms, with a walk-in shower and bath available. The building shows its age: floors may be uneven, windows may not seal tightly, and blinds may have gaps. Soundproofing is limited, with noise from adjacent rooms and the street common. Bedding is generally clean, but mattress comfort is basic and may not suit all preferences. There is no TV or air conditioning. Rooms on higher floors require climbing steep stairs.

Royal Chambers does not operate its own dining facilities. Within 300 metres, you can find Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's, Starbucks, and several noodle bars and buffets. For a wider selection, Liverpool One and the city centre are a 15-minute walk away, offering numerous restaurants and cafes.

The property offers free Wi-Fi in all areas and complimentary luggage storage during reception hours (from 09:00). Laundry services are available for an additional charge. Check-in and check-out are straightforward, with express options. 24-hour security with CCTV and key card access ensures safety. No parking is on site, but the QPark car park behind the building costs about £10 per day. Payment on arrival is limited to cash or bank transfer; a deposit may be required. There is no lift, so all rooms are accessed via stairs.
