HOTEL ROYAL OPERA, Paris

The hotel is 200 m from La Madeleine and less than a 5-minute walk from Madeleine Metro (lines 8, 12, 14) and Havre-Caumartin Metro (lines 3, 9). RER A is equally close, providing direct access to La Défense and Disneyland Paris. Champs-Élysées, Place de la Concorde, Jardin des Tuileries, the Louvre and Musée d'Orsay are all within comfortable walking distance. Boulevard Haussmann's department stores (Printemps, Galeries Lafayette), the Opéra Garnier, and the Olympia theatre are a short stroll away. The concierge can book tickets and taxis. For airport transfers, take a taxi (approx. 40 EUR from Orly) or RER B to Châtelet then metro line 14 to Madeleine from CDG. A bakery opposite the hotel opens at 07:00 for early coffee and pastries.

The hotel offers single, double, twin and a limited number of triple rooms (only 2-3). Each room has a private bathroom with either bath or shower, hairdryer, a safe and a small desk area. Some rooms are compact, particularly the bathrooms; larger double or premium rooms provide more space. A few rooms on the top floor are cosy attic-style. Noise insulation between rooms is limited, so rear-facing or upper-floor rooms tend to be quieter. Air conditioning is present in all rooms but temperature is managed centrally - call reception if you need a change. There are no balconies, minibars or kettles in all rooms. Daily housekeeping and towel changes are provided; for deep cleaning or extra amenities (iron, toiletries), request at reception. Luggage storage is free before check-in and after check-out.

Breakfast is a continental buffet with sliced bread, baguettes, mini pastries, yogurt, orange juice and hot drinks - it can be served in the room on request. The restaurant Le Madeleine C, run by a Master Restaurateur, is open for lunch (12:00-14:30) and dinner (19:00-22:00) Monday to Friday, serving traditional homemade dishes in a bright modern setting. Special diet menus are available on request. For those who prefer a lighter or earlier meal, a highly-rated bakery is directly across the street, and numerous cafés and restaurants (French, Japanese, sushi, Asian noodle) are within a 3-minute walk.

The hotel provides free Wi-Fi throughout, 24-hour front desk and concierge service, daily housekeeping with towel changes, luggage storage at no charge, and a safety deposit box at reception. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional fee, and an iron can be requested. An online concierge service allows booking of museum tickets, shows, tours and restaurants at preferential rates. Fax/photocopying is available for business needs. The lift (elevator) serves all floors. Pets are allowed at 25 EUR per day. No parking on-site, but a public car park is a 10-minute walk away under the Madeleine church.
