The inn sits off the highway, making it easy to drive to downtown, the Citadel, and Public Gardens within 10-15 minutes. A Halifax Transit bus stop is a short walk away, providing direct service to downtown. Several restaurants and fast-food outlets (Bubba Rays, Sushi Jet, A&W, Dairy Queen) are within 500 metres on foot. The Chain of Lakes trail starts nearby for walking, running, or cycling. The neighbourhood is a lower-socioeconomic area, and the hotel is adjacent to a busy road - rooms facing the highway can be noisy, so light sleepers should request a room away from the road.

Guest rooms have carpeted floors, a work desk, and wall-mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Some bathrooms have been updated with modern tiling and walk-in showers, while others remain older. Beds are comfortable with soft pillows. Maintenance issues have been noted in some rooms, such as noisy air conditioning units, broken TV remotes, or loose door fixtures. Ground-floor rooms open directly to the parking lot. Rooms do not have balconies. For a quieter stay, request a room on a higher floor away from the highway.

Breakfast is self-serve and includes bagels, muffins, pancakes, waffles, yogurt, fruit, instant oatmeal, and coffee. There is no hot protein option. If you prefer a larger or hot meal, several restaurants and cafés are within a 5-minute walk. No restaurant or bar is on site.

Laundry facilities are on the upper floor for a reasonable fee. The 24-hour front desk can hold luggage, provide local information, or call a taxi.
