The neighbourhood is considered safe at most hours, with a reliable taxi rank beside the hotel and a deli open 24 hours directly across the street.

The hotel offers a range of room types including Executive King and configurations with two queen-size beds. Rooms are large by New York standards, clean, and include a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, ironing facilities, a safe, a fridge, and a writing desk. Bathrooms are private and feature free toiletries, a hairdryer, and either a walk-in shower or a half-sunken bath tub with shower. Air conditioning units can be noisy, particularly in older rooms, and some rooms lack adequate soundproofing - thin walls mean noise from adjacent rooms and the corridor can be heard.
