The property is about 2 km (a 15-20 minute walk) from the airport terminal and 5 km by road. The immediate area is very quiet, with minimal traffic noise, and is surrounded by residential streets. A bus stop (4-minute walk) provides a direct 10-minute ride to the airport. The nearest underground station (Langenhorn Markt, U1 line) is about a 10-minute walk, with connections to the city centre and Hamburg Hbf. Note that the final approach to the house is along a gravel/dirt road, which can get muddy after rain. The surrounding neighbourhood offers several restaurants within a 10-minute walk, including Rotbuche and Weinhaus am Stadtrand Marco Lehmitz e.K. (0.5 km). Inner Alster Lake (12 km) and Hamburg Fair (10 km) are accessible by car or public transport. Boating is available in the wider area.

The property offers double, single, and triple rooms, all modernly furnished and exceptionally clean. Each room features a private entrance, soundproof walls, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a tea/coffee maker, and a seating/dining area. The kitchens are fully equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, and kitchenware. Rooms are generally spacious enough for luggage and comfortable for a good night's sleep, with very comfortable beds. However, all bathrooms and toilets are shared among the rooms on the upper floor (typically 5 rooms sharing one shower/bathroom and one separate WC). The house is described as a new build/renovation, but internal sound insulation is poor: you can clearly hear conversations, door noises, and activity from the shared bathroom and hallway, which can be disruptive, especially during late/early hours. Windows have effective blackout blinds, and the location is inherently quiet, making noise mainly internal. The property has a spiral staircase and no lift, which can be challenging with heavy luggage.

The homestay does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant. Each room includes a fully equipped kitchen (stovetop, fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave, kettle, kitchenware) so guests can prepare their own meals. A coffee shop and minimarket are available on site for basic supplies and hot drinks. Several restaurants offering a variety of cuisines are within a short walk (e.g., Rotbuche, Weinhaus am Stadtrand, and a popular Chinese takeaway nearby). For early-morning flights, plan to have breakfast ingredients ready in your room, as local shops and eateries may not be open at that hour.

The property has a garden and a terrace where guests can relax. Walking tours are available on site (free of charge). Board games and puzzles are provided for children and families. The surrounding area is suitable for walking and cycling; bicycle parking is available. The area is also good for plane spotting, with a short walk to the runway end of the airport.
