SLOTH HOSTEL, Bangkok

The hostel sits on a quieter side street off Khao San Road, reducing street noise while still being minutes from the action. Bangkok National Museum (1 km), Wat Saket (2 km), and the Grand Palace (2 km) are all walkable. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 34 km away; the paid shuttle (1000 THB) or taxi are the main transport options. The area is well supplied with street food and casual restaurants, including Macaroni Club and Tom Yum Goong Banglamphu within 300 metres. Boonsiri bus terminal for island buses is also nearby.

Breakfast options are basic continental-style (bread, spreads, hot drinks). The hostel does not have an on-site restaurant or bar for lunch or dinner, but the surrounding streets offer numerous affordable restaurants and street food stalls, including vegetarian-friendly options at Mango Vegetarian & Vegan and casual Thai eateries such as Max's Magical Thai Food.

The rooftop area has seating and is used for evening gatherings, street food takeaway, or daytime lounging. There are no organised activities or events, making it a self-directed social space. The hostel also has a small lounge area near reception with free coffee and tea.

The reception is staffed from 07:00 to 02:00 and staff speak English and Thai. Luggage storage costs 50 THB per bag per day and can be used before check-in or after check-out on the same day. Lockers in dorms include a key; no padlock rental is offered. Airport shuttle transfers to both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports are available for 1000 THB per car (max 3 persons), but must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance and are non-refundable. No parking is available. The property is adults-only and non-smoking throughout, with CCTV in common areas and outside.
