Scottsdale Airport is 14 km away, OdySea Aquarium is 13 km, and Phoenix Zoo is 28 km. The immediate area is peaceful and isolated, but several restaurants and shops are within a short drive. The shuttle only operates between the hotel and the Mayo Clinic; no airport or casino shuttles are available. For patients needing the Phoenix Mayo campus, a complimentary shuttle runs from the Scottsdale campus.

Rooms are recently remodeled and include a tea and coffee maker, mini-fridge, iron/ironing board, and TV. Suites (two-room) have a separate living area with a pull-out sofa and a microwave; standard rooms can request a microwave if available.
