SONESTA SIMPLY SUITES LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER, Las Vegas

This all-suite hotel sits at the intersection of practicality and access: McCarran International Airport is a quick 2 km drive, and the Las Vegas Strip begins just under 2 km from the front door. The Sphere and The Venetian are reachable on foot in about 15 minutes, making the property especially convenient for concertgoers. The University of Nevada Las Vegas is a 10-minute drive, and The Mob Museum is 8 km away. Public transport options include a nearby bus stop and the monorail within a 15-minute walk, but a car or ride-share is more practical for regular strip visits. Several restaurants - Morton's The Steakhouse, Buca di Beppo, Panera Bread - are within 0.5 km, and a convenience store is adjacent. The immediate neighbourhood includes some older motels and a visible homeless presence, and the area feels less secure after dark; well-lit parking and key-card building access are standard.

Accommodation consists of spacious suites (studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom layouts) each featuring a fully equipped kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, and basic cookware/utensils - a significant practical advantage for longer stays or families. The separate living area typically includes a sofa, a large desk for work or dining, and a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Beds are noted for their comfort, and the en-suite bathroom provides a private shower/tub. Some rooms offer a recliner chair. Rooms facing north are quieter; road-facing suites may pick up traffic noise. The property has undergone a renovation in some sections, with newer carpets and paint in those rooms. Light sleepers should be aware that in older rooms the air-conditioning unit can be loud; window-opening is an option but introduces street noise. Kitchenettes are stocked with basic utensils; guests needing additional pots or pans can request them. No rooms have a balcony.

There is no restaurant or bar on the property, and breakfast is not served. The Sonesta Simply Suites Las Vegas Cupboard, open 24 hours, stocks convenience items, snacks, and drinks for immediate needs. For full meals, guests can cook in their room's kitchen - all utensils and cookware are provided - or use one of three outdoor gas BBQ grills in the picnic area. Within a 5-minute walk there are several dining options: Morton's The Steakhouse, Bona Pizza, Gandhi India's Cuisine, Pieology Pizzeria, Buca di Beppo, The Habit Burger Grill, Panera Bread, and The Sterling Spoon Cafe - covering steak, Italian, Indian, fast-casual, and coffee. For coffee and breakfast, Starbucks and Panera Bread are just a few blocks away.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas, strong enough for remote work. The 24-hour front desk can assist with late check-in, luggage storage, and fax/photocopying (free). Laundry facilities are on-site (US$3 per wash, US$3 per dry). Private parking costs US$10/night (no reservation needed) and includes accessible parking spaces. The property is wheelchair accessible: rooms with roll-in showers are available, and common areas feature a lift, lowered sinks, raised toilets, grab rails in bathrooms, and designated accessible routes. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, key-card and key access, and an ATM on site. A minimarket is open 24 hours. Service/meeting rooms are available for an additional charge. Pets are allowed (up to two per room) with a non-refundable fee; pet bowls are provided. The hotel does not operate an airport shuttle. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Diners Club, JCB, and Carte Blanche. Canadian debit cards with a Visa logo are accepted; conversion fees may apply.
