SPRINGHILL SUITES BY MARRIOTT CHARLESTON RIVERVIEW, Charleston

The hotel is 5 km from historic Charleston and the South Carolina Aquarium, and about 16 km from Folly Beach. It is 3 km from MUSC downtown and 19 km from Charleston International Airport. Freeway access is straightforward, making the drive to downtown attractions easy, though the historic district is not within walking distance. The waterfront location provides marina views and a walking trail. Nearby dining includes California Dreaming Restaurant, Ye Ole Fashioned Ice Cream & Sandwich Cafe, and Papa John's Pizza.

Studios feature a private bathroom with a bath or shower, and are soundproofed. A seating area with sofa bed, small refrigerator, microwave, and flat-screen cable TV is standard. Select rooms offer a balcony with water views, while others overlook the quiet street. Beds are comfortable in some rooms, but in certain cases loose bed frames and worn bedding have been reported. The unit layout places the sink and vanity outside the toilet/shower area, which can light up the whole room. A limited number of rooms may have quality issues such as mold, peeling tubs, or non-functional AC. The Double Studio offers 2 Queen beds and a sleeper sofa.

Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, grits, bagels, and a variety of juices and milk. The breakfast is generally well-regarded for its selection, though on busy mornings items may run low and take time to restock. Coffee is provided. The on-site market offers snacks and beverages for purchase. No other restaurant or bar is available on the property, and there is no happy hour. For alternative dining, California Dreaming and Papa John's Pizza are within 2 km.

The outdoor swimming pool is heated, open year-round, and includes a fence, sun loungers, and umbrellas. The hot tub is located adjacent to the pool on the ground level. The fitness centre offers free weights and cardio equipment. Table tennis is available for free, and bicycle rental is offered for an additional charge. Off-site fishing trips can be arranged through charter companies at the nearby marina.
