SPRINGHILL SUITES BY MARRIOTT WINSTON-SALEM HANES MALL, Winston-Salem

SpringHill Suites by Marriott is located at 1015 Marriott Crossing Way, set off Hanes Mall Boulevard in a quiet area alongside another hotel. Smith Reynolds Airport is 10 km away (13 minutes by car), and Piedmont Triad Airport is 32 km (27 minutes). The property offers easy highway access and is close to Hanes Mall, Target, and a variety of dining options within a short walk. Downtown Winston-Salem is a 15-minute drive, and Forsyth Hospital is nearby. On-site parking is free but requires a reservation, and the lot can be tight. Public transport is limited, so a car is recommended for exploring the area.

The property features 95 suites including King and Queen options with trundle sofas for extra sleeping. Each suite has a private bathroom (bath or shower, some with roll-in or accessible features), air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable, free toiletries, tea/coffee maker, and ironing facilities. Carpeted floors and a work desk are standard. Room condition varies: renovated units are modern and clean, while older units may have worn furniture or maintenance issues. Walls can be thin, which may disturb light sleepers. Some bathrooms are spacious with grab bars; others have small showers. Closet space is limited, and there are no dressers.

The breakfast buffet includes hot items such as eggs and meat, pastries, bagels, coffee, and juice. Selection varies daily, and the breakfast area can become crowded. For other meals, the hotel has a small minimarket offering snacks and drinks, and a coffee shop. Outside, multiple dining options are a short walk away, including Red Crab, Five Guys, Buffalo Wild Wings, Panera Bread, and UMI Japanese Steakhouse. There is no full-service restaurant or bar on the property.

The indoor pool is small but heated and can be used year-round. It is a popular feature for families. Adjacent is a fitness centre with basic equipment; it is not extensive. There is also an outdoor seating area and a designated smoking patio. No spa or wellness centre is on site.

Free wired internet is available throughout the property. Free parking requires a prior reservation; the lot is small. A business area and minimarket are on site. Pets are permitted with applicable charges. The property offers accessible rooms with roll-in showers, transfer showers, and hearing-accessible features. Pack-and-play cribs can be provided upon request. Check-in requires photo ID and credit card. Early departure results in full stay charge. The lobby is under renovation, causing some disruption. Payment accepted: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay.
