STAYBRIDGE SUITES MEMPHIS-POPLAR AVE EAST BY IHG, Memphis

Staybridge Suites Memphis-Poplar Ave East sits just off Poplar Avenue, close to the I-240 interchange, making it a straightforward drive to the University of Memphis (about 5 minutes), Graceland (21 km), Memphis Zoo (14 km), and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music (17 km). Memphis International Airport is 13 km away; no shuttle is available, so a taxi or rideshare is needed. The immediate surroundings are mostly business parks, but several dining options are within walking distance or a short drive: Benihana (0.5 km), Lisa's Lunchbox (0.5 km), River Oaks (1 km), and Olive Garden (1 km). Central BBQ, a popular local spot, is less than 5 minutes by car. Free on-site parking is available, though the lot can become crowded, and vehicles parked away from the front of the hotel have been subject to break-ins.

The daily breakfast offers a wide variety of hot and cold items: scrambled eggs, bacon or turkey sausage, grits or oatmeal, fresh fruit, bread and pastries, and a waffle station. Real crockery and cutlery are available alongside disposable options. Decaffeinated coffee is also on offer. The breakfast staff are frequently praised for their attentiveness and for keeping the buffet well-stocked. In addition to breakfast, the hotel hosts a complimentary evening social Monday through Wednesday, featuring hot food (e.g., tacos, light dinners) and beer on tap. For those who prefer to dine out, a range of restaurants is a short drive away, including Benihana, Olive Garden, and Central BBQ. Each suite's full kitchen also allows guests to prepare their own meals.

The outdoor swimming pool operates seasonally (typically open after Memorial Day) and features a shallow end, sun loungers and beach chairs, and pool/beach towels. The fitness centre is complimentary and open 24 hours; one of the treadmills has been reported as non-functional, so the equipment may need attention. A public bath is also on site. For relaxation, there is a shared lounge/TV area and an outdoor fireplace with seating. Spa services are not available.

The property provides free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout. On-site parking is free and does not require a reservation, though spaces can be very limited at peak times; accessible parking is available. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out and can assist with requests. Business services include a free business centre, fax/photocopying, and meeting/banquet facilities (for a fee). Complimentary guest laundry is a popular perk-machines are free to use (laundry detergent is available for purchase at the front desk). Vending machines for drinks and snacks are on site. Pets are allowed on request (charges may apply); the hotel also has facilities for disabled guests, including wheelchair access and an emergency cord in the bathroom. Safety features include CCTV, key card access, safety deposit boxes, and smoke alarms.
