DAYS INN BY WYNDHAM MEMPHIS AT GRACELAND, Memphis

The hotel is directly opposite Graceland Mansion, making the main attraction a one-block walk - no transportation needed for Elvis fans. Memphis International Airport (MEM) is a short drive away, with taxis charging a flat rate around $15. A bus stop right outside connects to downtown Memphis. For car-free travellers, ride-shares are the main option for Beale Street and other city sights. The immediate area is best navigated by car or ride-share, especially at night. Free on-site parking makes car access straightforward.

Rooms include a microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and flat-screen HDTV. The beds are firm, which some find too hard, and the air conditioning units can be noisy - light sleepers should consider earplugs. Road-facing rooms may pick up noise from traffic. The bathroom has a private shower/tub combination (no roll-in shower options despite accessibility advertising), and toilet height is low. Some rooms have a musty or damp smell, and gaps under the door can let in light and noise. Renovated rooms are clean and bright; others show signs of wear and dated fittings. No rooms have balconies. Daily housekeeping is not guaranteed - request towels and supplies at the front desk if needed. The property has no elevator, so guests with limited mobility should request a ground floor room.

The breakfast offering typically includes toast, honey buns, cereal, yoghurt, a waffle maker (with a fun guitar-shaped waffle iron), and coffee or tea. The selection is light and primarily carb-based - no fresh fruit. On-site kitchen and dining room have undergone renovation, which can disrupt breakfast service; at times the offering is reduced to packaged items or unavailable. Hot drinks are available at reception, but there is no in-room coffee/tea facilities. There is no on-site restaurant or bar. Several dining options - including Gladys' Diner, Rock N Roll Cafe, and EP's Bar and Grill - are within a 5-minute walk from the hotel for guests wanting a fuller meal.
