STAYBRIDGE SUITES - UNIVERSITY AREA OSU BY IHG, Columbus

The hotel sits on Olentangy River Road, directly off Interstate 315, providing fast access to downtown Columbus, the university campus, and the Wexner Medical Center. Ohio Historical Center is 4 km away, and Natural Resources Park is 5 km. The Schottenstein Center is within walking distance, and the area is convenient for concerts and sporting events. A variety of dining options - including MODA Restaurant & Bar, Burger King, Rooster's, Denny's, and Skyline Chili - are within 0.5 km. Wal-Mart is a 12-minute drive for groceries or supplies. While the location works well with a car, the gated rear entrance on North Olentangy is locked at night, so arriving via the main Olentangy River Road entrance is advisable during evening hours.

A complimentary full breakfast is served each morning, offering a continental spread with hot items, fresh fruit, and a rotating menu. Breakfast service includes a to-go bag option when needed. Evening social hours are held Monday through Wednesday, featuring complimentary appetizers, beer, wine, and soft drinks, which many guests find a valuable perk to reduce dining-out costs. The property also has a snack bar, vending machines for drinks and snacks, and a minimarket on site. There is no full-service restaurant or bar, so for a wider meal selection the many nearby restaurants within a 5-minute walk offer additional choices.

The indoor swimming pool is open from 6am to 11pm every day, with sun loungers and pool towels provided. The fitness centre is free for guests and includes cardio and weight equipment, suitable for maintaining a regular workout routine. A free on-site laundry room is available, making extended stays more convenient. For those who prefer outdoor activity, BBQ facilities and a sun terrace are located on the property. The hotel does not have a spa, hot tub, or sauna. Evening entertainment is offered free of charge during the week, and nearby leisure options (requiring transport) include golf, hiking, cycling, and tennis.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/check-out, luggage storage, lockers, and private check-in/out. A business centre with free fax/photocopying is available, and meeting/banquet facilities are offered at an additional charge. The property is fully accessible, with features including wheelchair access, grab rails, raised toilet, lower bathroom sink, emergency cord, and tactile/braille signage. A shared kitchen, shared lounge/TV area, and minimarket are on site. Daily housekeeping and laundry are complimentary. Security features include 24-hour security, CCTV throughout, key card access, safety deposit box, and smoke alarms. Parking is private, on-site, gated, and costs US$10 per day with advance reservation required.
