The hotel occupies a mid-19th century Hanseatic building in Harvestehude, a quiet, leafy residential area. The Alster lake and Dammtor railway station are within a few minutes' walk, providing direct rail links to the airport and beyond. The city centre, with its shops and Jungfernstieg promenade, as well as the university, congress centre, and trade fair grounds, are all reachable in about 10 minutes on foot or by public transport. The quiet street offers a peaceful night while still being centrally located, and excellent tram and bus connections make exploring farther attractions convenient.

Room sizes vary from compact single rooms (approximately 8 m² with a loft bed over the bathroom) to spacious double rooms with high ceilings and a shared balcony. The Double Room Superior with balcony is recommended for extra space and a private outdoor area. All rooms include an electric kettle, heating, and a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Some bathrooms are compact (1.4-2 m²) and may be open to the room without a separate door. The building is not soundproofed - road-facing rooms can be noisy, while garden-side rooms are quieter. Housekeeping is provided every two days. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The hotel serves a buffet breakfast at 19 EUR per person, featuring breads, pastries, cold cuts, and hot drinks. Some find the selection limited relative to the price. There is no restaurant on site, but the bar offers wines and champagne, a coffee house, and a snack bar. Special diet menus are available on request. For a fuller meal, numerous restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. The hotel's garden and BBQ facilities are also available (charges may apply for BBQ).
