SUBURBAN STUDIOS TALLAHASSEE NEAR UNIVERSITY, Tallahassee

The hotel sits at 522 Silver Slipper Ln, placing guests near a cluster of restaurants including Zaxby's (0.5 km), Ihop, Starbucks, Dreamland BBQ, and Lemongrass (all within 1 km). Tallahassee Regional Airport is 14 km away, and Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park is a 8 km drive. The location is practical for those with a car, offering free parking on site, though the immediate area can feel transient and some guests have noted a lack of foot traffic safety after dark. For university visitors, the 5 km distance to FSU means a short drive or ride-share trip.

Each room includes a well-fitted kitchenette with stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and coffee machine - ideal for longer stays. The private bathrooms feature a bath and shower combination, with some rooms offering a walk-in shower or jacuzzi tub. Rooms are traditionally decorated with white walls and dark wood furniture, and feature carpeted floors, air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a wardrobe. Some units add a sofa and desk. While some rooms have been recently updated with new flooring and paint, others show wear such as damaged cabinets, stained upholstery, and peeling paint. Requesting a room away from the main road may improve sleep quality, as noise and occasional smoke odors have been noted from adjacent rooms.

The property does not offer a breakfast service or restaurant. However, the kitchenette allows guests to prepare their own meals, though you may need to bring or request cookware and utensils. Several fast-food and casual dining spots are within a 5-minute walk, including Zaxby's, Ihop, Digia, and Dreamland BBQ, plus Starbucks for coffee. For groceries, a vending machine with snacks and drinks is available on site.

There is no swimming pool, spa, or gym on the property. Instead, guests can use the picnic area with gas grills for outdoor cooking, or relax on the porch swing. For exercise, a fitness centre is located a short 8-minute walk from the hotel. The outdoor spaces are suitable for short breaks, but the overall condition of the grounds has been noted as needing maintenance, with some guests reporting litter and general wear.
