Accommodation consists of individual wooden cabins (approx. 0.9 m wide, 1.8 m long) arranged in large hall-like floors. The open lattice ceiling means there is no visual or acoustic privacy - every sound from neighbouring cabins, the corridor, and shared bathrooms carries clearly. Beds are narrow and best suited for people under 5'8" (173 cm); taller guests may not stretch out fully. Each cabin has a reading light, power outlet, and a small shelf. Some window cabins let in natural light but also street noise from busy Bowery. Cabins nearer the bathrooms and reception desk tend to be noisier. Earplugs are supplied, and quiet hours are posted but not always observed. The shared bathrooms and showers are on separate floors (women's on 2nd, men's on 4th) and can be reached via steep stairs.

Breakfast is a basic self-service continental offering (coffee, bagels) available in the shared lounge area. For more substantial meals, the surrounding streets offer a wide range of restaurants and cafes within a short walk - from Italian in Little Italy to dim sum in Chinatown. The lounge also has vending machines with drinks and snacks, and a small reception shop sells water, toothpaste, and other essentials at a premium. Use of the guest kettle and tea-making facilities incurs a $5 fee.

The main leisure feature is the rooftop terrace, which offers open-air city views and is accessible at any hour - popular for relaxing or meeting other travellers.
