SUPER BALMES GUEST HOUSE, Barcelona

The property is set in the heart of Barcelona, two minutes on foot from Plaza Catalunya. This central position places all major attractions, shopping streets, and the Gothic Quarter within easy walking distance. The Aerobus airport stop is a 10-minute walk, and Universitat metro station is steps away, providing quick access across the city and to the beach (about a 30-minute walk or short metro ride). Numerous restaurants, bars, and cafés line the surrounding streets. The airport is roughly 20 minutes away by taxi. Road-facing rooms can experience street noise, so those sensitive to sound may prefer rooms away from the main road.

Rooms are private within shared apartments that contain up to five bedrooms. Each room features a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, heating, and bed linen and towels. Bathroom options vary: some rooms have a private en-suite, others a private external bathroom, and some share a bathroom with other apartment guests. Shared apartments typically have two toilets and two showers. Triple rooms are available with three single beds, air conditioning, a wardrobe, and a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer; some include a balcony. Rooms facing the main road can be noisy, and rooms are often compact-suitable for sleeping but not extended lounging. Some rooms have a desk, which can be requested. An iron is available in the apartment.

The property does not have a restaurant or serve breakfast. However, each apartment offers a fully equipped shared kitchen with an induction hob, microwave, kettle, and all necessary cookware and dinnerware. Many guests use this kitchen for self-catering, and a Nespresso machine has been noted in some apartments. The surrounding streets are filled with a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and cafés, including options such as Flax & Kale, Teresa Carles, and several international cuisines, all within a 5-minute walk.

The property does not have a spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre. For leisure, free walking tours are provided as an activity option, allowing guests to explore the city. The central location itself provides ample opportunities for sightseeing, shopping, and dining on foot.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas. The building has a lift. Guests have access to a shared lounge/TV area and a fully equipped shared kitchen. Private check-in and check-out services are provided, and an invoice can be issued. Safety features include fire extinguishers and smoke alarms. Daily room cleaning is not standard, but housekeeping can be scheduled for extended stays upon request. Laundry facilities are available at nearby self-service laundries. The property does not provide on-site luggage storage but can recommend a nearby storage service. A discounted parking lot is available near the property.
