Ikebukuro Station is one of Tokyo's largest transport hubs, and the hotel entrance is located right next to Exit C1b, which has an elevator for easy access with luggage. From the station, the JR Yamanote Line provides direct, quick connections to Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Ueno. The Sunshine City shopping and entertainment complex is a 17-minute walk away. Both Haneda and Narita airports are approximately one hour away by train. The area is packed with restaurants, bars, convenience stores, and shops, all within a short walking radius. The hotel is situated on the west side of the station, which is slightly quieter than the east side but still very well connected. Although the hotel has no parking, the excellent public transport access makes a car unnecessary for exploring Tokyo.

Standard room sizes range from 12 m2 to 18 m2, which is typical for central Tokyo. The rooms are clean and efficient but can feel small, especially when two people are sharing or when luggage is opened. The bed frame does not have space underneath for storing suitcases, which can make the room feel more cramped; the large desk in some room layouts further reduces usable floor space. All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, a fridge, and carpeted flooring. The en-suite bathroom has a bathtub, shower, and free toiletries. There are no private bathrooms in the standard sense-all rooms have their own en-suite. A pillow selection bar near reception allows guests to choose a preferred pillow type, but availability of the most popular 'fluffy' pillows can run out if you arrive later in the evening. Room entry uses a PIN code rather than a key card, which is convenient for not losing a key. Some rooms can be noisy due to soundproofing between rooms being only moderate.

Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the dining area. The buffet offers a mix of Japanese and Western-style dishes, including grilled fish, miso soup, eggs, bread, and salads. The menu varies a little every day, providing some variety for longer stays. The breakfast room itself is small relative to the number of rooms, so it can become crowded quickly; arriving early is recommended to secure a seat and avoid a wait. There is no restaurant or bar on the property for lunch or dinner. In the afternoon and evening, the hotel offers a complimentary welcome drink service with soft drinks and alcoholic beverages in the lounge area. For other meals, the surrounding area has numerous restaurants and convenience stores within a short walk.

The onsen is a key facility and uses Oku-Yugawara onsen water, providing a genuine thermal bath experience in central Tokyo. It is open from 15:00 until 09:00 the next morning, making it available for a soak both in the evening and early in the day. The onsen area is small (often described as a large bathtub rather than a large pool) and can get busy during peak hours. The in-room TV can display real-time crowd levels for the onsen, helping you plan the quietest time to go. Note that guests with visible tattoos are not permitted to use the onsen. The facility is located in the new building, about a 30-second walk from the main building via a connecting passageway. Hair dryers (including ReFa models in the women's area) are available in the changing rooms. There is no swimming pool, gym, or spa centre on site.

Wi-Fi is free and available in all areas, and is reportedly fast and reliable. Self-service laundry machines are available for a small fee (100 yen for washing, free drying). Luggage storage is free of charge, and the hotel can also assist with Yamato luggage forwarding (takkyubin) forms if you wish to send bags to your next destination. Daily housekeeping is provided, but cleaning takes place between 10:00 and 15:00; if you opt out of cleaning, you still receive new towels and complimentary bottled water. A trouser press and ironing facilities are available at the front desk for borrowing. The hotel has a lift, though the main building has only one elevator for 14 floors, which can result in wait times during peak hours. Security features include CCTV in common areas, fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, and a security alarm. Dry cleaning, fax/photocopying, and additional laundry services are available for an extra charge.
