QUEENSWAY HOTEL, SURE HOTEL COLLECTION BY BEST WESTERN, London

The hotel is in a quiet but central area of Paddington, with excellent transport links: Paddington Station is a 4-minute walk, giving access to the Heathrow Express, Elizabeth line, Bakerloo, Circle, District, and Hammersmith & City lines. Hyde Park is a short walk, and major shopping streets like Oxford Street (15 min) and Knightsbridge (25 min) are reachable on foot. The neighbourhood has plenty of pubs, cafés, and restaurants within a few minutes' walk, including The Victoria and Garfunkel's. The location works well for both tourists and transit travellers, especially those arriving from or departing to Heathrow.

Room sizes vary but are generally small, particularly the single and cosy double rooms. The best choice for more space is a standard double or triple. Some rooms are in the basement (with noise from footsteps above) or on the 4th floor (accessed via stairs after the 3rd-floor lift stop). Rooms on the top floor can get very warm, especially in summer; fans are provided but no air conditioning. Windows vary: some open onto a courtyard, others face the street where traffic and air-conditioning units can create noise. Rooms have tea/coffee facilities, a safe, wardrobe, carpeted floor, and heating. Bathrooms are functional but small, with a shower and hairdryer. Cleaning is daily, but some reports note inconsistency.

Breakfast is a self-serve continental buffet. Options include toast, croissants, cereal (Corn Flakes, Muesli, Bran Flakes, Coco Pops), yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, butter, jam, honey, and fruit juice. The coffee machine provides a range of hot drinks. The breakfast room can be crowded later in the morning, and the selection is limited - there is no cooked English breakfast. For those wanting a more varied or cooked meal, numerous cafés and restaurants serving full English breakfasts are within a 3-4 minute walk. There is no on-site restaurant or bar for lunch or dinner, but the surrounding area has plenty of dining options, including several 0.5 km away.
