The property sits on West 111th Street in Harlem, a neighbourhood with vibrant local life and easy access to both sides of Manhattan. The 1 line at Cathedral Parkway is less than a minute on foot, providing direct trains to Times Square (about 15 minutes) and other downtown areas. The 2 and 3 lines are also within a 5-minute walk. Central Park's northern entrance is one block south, ideal for walking, jogging, or cycling. The area has a visible homeless population and some drug activity, particularly around the subway station, especially after dark. Several cafes, restaurants, and a laundromat are within a 5-10 minute walk. Times Square is 6 km away, The Metropolitan Museum of Art is 3 km away.

All bedrooms are private and lockable. Bathrooms are located on each floor, shared between 2-4 rooms. Each room has its own air conditioning unit, heating, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, ironing board, and free toiletries. Some rooms include a full kitchen with hob, oven, microwave, sink, and dining table. Family rooms, triple rooms, and quadruple rooms have two beds; economy rooms have one. Rooms are compact - travellers with large luggage or needing space to move around may find them tight. Windows are not soundproof, so street noise from cars and sirens is audible. A few rooms have poor ventilation or cannot open windows. No cribs or child beds are available. There is no elevator; rooms are on the first to fourth floors via stairs.
