THE GREENS HOTEL ON STOCKTON, Sacramento

The hotel sits on a main road with various ethnic restaurants within walking distance and straightforward access to I-80. The area is a practical base for budget-conscious road travelers visiting local nightlife or family in the area. Sacramento Zoo and Funderland are each about a 10-minute drive. The immediate neighborhood has a higher density of convenience stores and fast food than formal dining. Parking is plentiful but the lot is behind a steel gate that closes at night; entering after hours requires calling the front desk to be let in.

Rooms provide a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a private entrance, tumble dryer, and parquet floors. The private bathroom includes a bath/shower combination and hairdryer. Some rooms offer garden views. In practice, the hotel is described as a bare-bones motel with limited in-room furnishings: no hanging space, drawers, luggage rack, or coffee pot. Some beds are reported as full-sized rather than the advertised queen. The overall feel is dated but spacious, with functioning air conditioning that can be noisy. Room cleanliness varies frequently. For families, a two-bed room configuration is available. Travelers needing a desk or reliable quiet for work should consider noise risks and the sparse workspace.

The on-site garden and picnic area with outdoor furniture provide a simple space for guests, though there are no pool, spa, or formal leisure facilities. The secure parking lot and gated entry may appeal to those traveling with camping gear or needing a safe spot to store outdoor equipment overnight. The area is near nightlife venues and the Sacramento Zoo, which are the closest leisure draws.

The property offers free Wi-Fi in all areas, free private parking with a reserved spot not required, and accessible parking. A 24-hour front desk handles late arrivals, and a business center is available. Daily housekeeping is provided. A vending machine for drinks and an on-site coffee shop cover basic refreshments. Security includes CCTV, smoke alarms, and key card access. No elevators or luggage storage have been confirmed. The property does not accept pets. Payment can be made with American Express, Visa, Discover, or MasterCard.
