A 5-minute walk reaches Lake View Park, while Washington Street's restaurants, bars and shops are a 10-minute stroll. Hawk Haven Vineyard and Winery is a 15-minute drive, and Cape May Point's lighthouse is within 5 km. The neighbourhood is quiet and restful at night, away from the main party strip. Walking or cycling is the best way to explore, and the on-site free parking (with reservation) eliminates car stress.

Rooms range from 1 king bed (2 adults maximum) to 2 queen beds, some with a kitchenette fully stocked with utensils, microwave, and stovetop. All rooms have a private bathroom with shower/tub combo, carpeted floors, and garden furniture. The motel is older and basic but consistently clean and well-maintained; decor is dated but functional. Some rooms can get hot even with heating off, so opening a window or using the air conditioner may be needed. Noise from adjacent rooms can occur due to thin walls. First-floor rooms offer easy access and parking proximity; second-floor rooms have no balcony except for a few. Guests with mobility needs should request a ground-floor unit as the property is not handicapped-accessible.

The motel has no restaurant or breakfast service on site. However, a breakfast-and-lunch spot operates next door during the summer season, offering a convenient morning meal. For other meals, a variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes are within a 10-minute walk along Washington Street. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available on site. Rooms with a kitchenette allow self-catering, making it easy to prepare simple meals and reduce dining expenses.

The outdoor pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through the third week of October and is a saltwater pool (remodeled in 2023). It is not heated, but features a shallow end, a fence for safety, and a foot bath to rinse off sand. Beachgoers will appreciate direct access across the street to a quiet, swimmable cove beach with gentle surf. The property is also beachfront with outdoor furniture for relaxing. The area offers excellent birding, sunset watching from the gazebo, and a peaceful setting for walks.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Parking is free and private on site, but each room only has one space and a reservation is necessary - no second car allowed. Daily housekeeping is provided at no extra cost, and laundry facilities are available for a fee. The front desk can handle special requests (early/late check-in, room floor preferences) but cannot guarantee them. Security features include CCTV in common areas and outside, key access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers. The motel is not handicapped accessible, and no airport shuttle service is available.
