While the area is vibrant and has many shops and cafés within 300 metres, roadside rooms - especially those on the front of the building - suffer from significant traffic noise. The bathrooms are functional but basic; the shower pressure can be low. City-facing rooms offer an excellent view of the Bangkok skyline.

The on-site restaurant, The Valentine's Coffee Shop, offers a buffet breakfast that is consistently praised for its variety and quality, often described as comparable to a four-star hotel. It includes scrambled and fried eggs, meats, fresh fruits, cereals, breads, jams, juices, tea, and coffee, with daily-changing options covering both Western and Thai palates. Breakfast is available from 07:00 to 10:00 daily, and a packed breakfast can be arranged for early departures. For lunch, the restaurant serves a selection of Thai and Western dishes at reasonable prices until 15:00. Room service is also available for dinners. The ground-floor café (Cafe 1860, open 07:00-15:00) serves coffee and light meals. The surrounding area offers abundant dining options, especially in nearby Chinatown and along Banthat Thong Road, which are within easy walking distance. An extra person breakfast charge is 500 THB for adults and 200 THB for children 6-12.

The hotel does not have a spa, swimming pool, or fitness centre. Leisure activities are centred on the location: the nearby Chinatown and Hua Lamphong station area provide a variety of street food, shopping, and cultural attractions. The canal in front of the hotel has been cleaned and offers a barge cruise. The rooftop area provides a space to sit and enjoy the view over the canal.
