The surrounding area is a mix of urban activity and blight; guests using a car will find it convenient for reaching Dodgers Stadium, USC, Hollywood attractions, and the Arts District. Pedestrians can walk to numerous Korean and Mexican restaurants, a McDonald's, and a 7-Eleven in about two minutes. Public transport options include a bus across Olympic Boulevard and a metro station roughly 15 minutes on foot. The neighborhood has visible homelessness and graffiti, so walking after dark is not recommended.

Standard double rooms can be compact (under 19 m²), particularly the king rooms, while deluxe rooms and suites offer more space, some with a separate living area or kitchenette equipped with a stovetop, refrigerator, and microwave. All rooms include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with cable and streaming services, a coffee maker, a work desk, and free WiFi. The outdoor swimming pool is open year-round from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, featuring sun loungers and a terrace area. The pool depth starts at about 1 meters and increases abruptly to over 2 meters, so less confident swimmers and children should exercise caution. There is no spa or fitness center at the hotel.
