THE ONE BOUTIQUE HOTEL, New York

The hotel sits at the center of Flushing's Koreatown and Chinatown, a vibrant neighborhood with an exceptional concentration of dining options - from hot pot to shabu-shabu - within a 5-minute walk. The 7 subway (Main Street station) is practically at the door, providing a 35-minute ride to Midtown Manhattan and direct access to Citifield (about 30 minutes on foot or a short subway ride). LaGuardia Airport is a quick taxi or Uber trip away. A police station on the same street adds a sense of security, though the immediate area can feel busy and less polished at night.

Accommodation quality varies significantly by room type and floor. Higher-category rooms include soundproof walls, air conditioning, a coffee machine, wardrobe, and a private bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub. Some feature a balcony or terrace with city views, while compact rooms (as small as 15 m²) are basic and windowless - suitable only for a short overnight. Many rooms have been noted to feel dated, with worn furniture and signs of wear. Noise can be an issue: the rooftop bar produces heavy bass that penetrates upper floors, and road-facing rooms on lower floors pick up street and hallway sounds. Light sleepers should request a room on a lower floor away from the rooftop and the street.

Wellness facilities are limited to the rooftop lounge and bar, which offers a social atmosphere and skyline views. There is no swimming pool, gym, or spa at the hotel. However, discounted admission tickets to a nearby spa castle can be arranged at the front desk, providing an off-site relaxation option for those interested in thermal baths or spa treatments.

Practical services include free Wi-Fi throughout the property, a 24-hour front desk, and daily housekeeping that changes towels and empties bins. A lift serves all floors, though it is the only one for guest use and has been noted to be old and occasionally out of service. A safety deposit box is available for use, and luggage storage is offered (though items are left at the owner's risk). There is no in-room phone - guests are advised to call the front desk from their mobile. There is no guest restroom in the lobby. A vending machine is available, and filtered water and a communal coffee/tea station with a microwave are provided in the lobby.
