THE SOMA FURNISHED RESIDENCES, Hamilton

The SoMa Furnished Residences sits in a central Hamilton area, placing it within walking distance of several restaurants and cafes, including City Pizza & Wings, Vintage Coffee Roasters, and Tim Hortons, all within 0.3 to 1 km. The Art Gallery of Hamilton is 3 km away, and John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport is 12 km from the property. Hamilton GO Centre is approximately 4 km away, providing regional rail connections. The location is practical for those travelling by car, with free on-site private parking and easy road access. The surrounding area suits those seeking a base between Toronto and Niagara Falls, but the immediate neighbourhood has a run-down feel, and walking alone at night is not recommended.

The SoMa Furnished Residences offers private apartment-style accommodations ranging from 2 to 3 bedrooms, each with a seating area, dining area, and private bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. Units are soundproofed and include air conditioning, heating, a washing machine, flat-screen TV, tea and coffee maker, and a fully equipped kitchen with a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, and kitchenware. Beds are comfortable, and the apartments are spacious and quiet, making them suitable for families or groups. However, some units show signs of wear such as broken furniture, non-working lights, and inconsistent cleanliness. The apartments are accessed via stairs only, with no elevator. A $400 deposit is required.

The SoMa Furnished Residences does not have a restaurant or serve breakfast. Each apartment is equipped with a full kitchen including a stovetop, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, and all necessary cookware, dishes, and cutlery for self-catering. Several dining options are within walking distance, including City Pizza & Wings (0.5 km), Culantro Peruvian Cookery (0.5 km), and Tim Hortons (0.5 km), offering takeaway and casual meals.

Wellness and leisure facilities are not available at The SoMa Furnished Residences. There is no swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre on the property. Fishing (off-site) and a golf course within 3 km are accessible for an additional charge. An ice-skating rink is also located nearby.

Free private parking is available on site with one assigned spot per suite, and reservation is not needed. Additional vehicles can use free street parking nearby. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Express check-in and check-out are offered, and an invoice is provided. A coin laundry room is located on the same floor as most suites, with one 3-bedroom unit featuring ensuite laundry. Cleaning services are available for an additional charge. The building is non-smoking throughout, and safety features include smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, security alarms, and CCTV outside the property. Accessible parking is available.
