Most rooms share bathroom facilities (two showers and toilets per floor). A limited number of rooms have a private bathroom. Room sizes are approximately 100sqft; some contain bunk beds, others a full bed that is placed against one wall. There is no air conditioning. Heating is provided, but a space heater may be needed - these can be requested at the front desk. Windows are single-pane, making street-facing rooms noticeably noisy; courtyard-facing rooms are quieter. A small refrigerator is available upon request (subject to availability). No elevator is present; rooms on the second and third floors require climbing narrow stairs.

The hotel does not serve meals. A shared lounge with a microwave, vending machines (snacks and drinks), and filtered water is open to all guests. Free coffee and tea are provided around the clock. The immediate area offers abundant dining choices: Chinatown is steps away, and Union Square has dozens of cafes, bistros, and restaurants within a five-minute walk.
