Despite the central location, the area is busy with traffic, ambulance sirens, and train noise that continues until around midnight. The South Bank, Westminster, and the West End are all within a 10-15-minute walk, making the location ideal for sightseeing without needing public transport.

Rooms range from 4-bed female dorms to large 28-bed mixed dorms. Private twin rooms are available but also share hallway bathrooms. Dorms have metal bunk beds with mattresses; some recent rooms include privacy curtains and individual lights/USB sockets, but older setups lack these. There is no air conditioning in dorms; fans are provided in some rooms. Lockers are large enough for a backpack but require your own padlock. Heating is available, but some rooms can feel cold in winter. Towels are not provided in the room but can be hired at reception. The building's five floors with narrow stairs mean top-floor rooms involve a climb.

Breakfast is included in every stay and consists of cereal, toast, jam, peanut butter, fresh fruit, juice, tea, and coffee. It is self-serve and unlimited. The bar downstairs opens from late morning until 11:30pm and serves cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits. Hostel guests receive a 15% discount on bar drinks. There is no restaurant, but the bar has a casual atmosphere and hosts live music on weekends. A well-equipped shared kitchen is available on the second floor for self-catering, with hobs, microwave, fridge, and all cookware.

The property does not have a swimming pool, spa, or fitness centre. Instead, the on-site pub provides evening entertainment including live music (free), a weekly pub quiz, and happy hour with discounted drinks. Bike tours can be arranged for an additional charge. The bar's lively atmosphere and the hostel's central location make it easy to explore London's attractions on foot rather than relying on on-site leisure facilities.

Wi-Fi is free in all areas. Luggage storage is available from 8am to 11pm; free before check-in, £3 per bag per day after checkout. Lockers are in each dorm but require a padlock (sold at reception if needed). Reception is staffed 8am-11pm; outside these hours, self-check-in works with door codes sent before arrival. Daily housekeeping cleans common areas, and bathrooms are cleaned once a day. There is no on-site laundry, but a coin-operated laundrette is a 14-minute walk away. Safety includes 24-hour security, CCTV, and secure lockers for bags left in storage.
