TOWNEPLACE SUITES BY MARRIOTT SAN DIEGO DOWNTOWN, San Diego

The hotel is a 16-minute walk from the Maritime Museum, 17 minutes from the USS Midway, and 20 minutes from Petco Park. San Diego International Airport is 4 km away. A trolley station is a few blocks south on Broadway, providing easy access to the city centre. While many attractions are walkable, note that parking is off-site and the garage is tight for larger vehicles. The surrounding area offers numerous restaurants and shops within a short stroll.

Each studio includes a stovetop, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, and cooking utensils, plus a flat-screen TV with streaming services. Rooms on higher floors offer city views, while ground-floor units may have a view of a courtyard or wall and can be noisier from the lobby. Soundproof walls are standard in some rooms. The TV placement can be awkward, and bathrooms include a bath or shower with free toiletries. No balconies are available. Beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious overall. Housekeeping is not automatic; request it at the front desk.

The fitness centre is free for guests and includes cardio and strength-training machines. For relaxation, the hotel offers an outdoor courtyard with a fireplace and seating. There is no swimming pool, hot tub, or spa. Leisure activities rely on the surrounding city attractions.

Parking is US$38 per day in a nearby public garage (reservation not needed). Pets are allowed with a US$150 fee. A daily US$20 deposit is required at check-in. The property is wheelchair accessible with grab rails, raised toilet, and braille signage. Other services include a minimarket, dry cleaning (extra charge), safety deposit box, and key card access. Laundry is coin-operated on the lower level; staff can provide change. An outdoor courtyard with a fire pit offers a communal space.
