COURTYARD BY MARRIOTT SAN DIEGO SORRENTO VALLEY, San Diego

The hotel sits in a quiet area close to freeways, making it convenient for driving to Sorrento Valley business parks, Qualcomm, UCSD, and La Jolla (15 minutes). Miramar MCAS is 9 km away, and SeaWorld is 25 km - about a 20-minute drive. Several restaurants and a brewery are within walking distance, and a Starbucks is 0.5 km away. The location works well for business travellers and those with a car, though public transport options are limited. An airbase nearby provides occasional views of military aircraft, adding a distinctive element to the setting.

The Bistro serves a set breakfast menu (not buffet) for an additional charge, with items like avocado toast. Dinner features American classics, including burgers and a cocktail hour. A coffee house on site provides coffee and light options. Kids' meals are available. For self-service, there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. Several restaurants and cafes (Hon Sushi, Greenspot Salad Company, Opera Cafe & Patisserie) are within a 5-minute walk, and a brewery with food is also nearby.

The outdoor pool area is well-maintained and includes a hot tub/jacuzzi, though the hot tub's jet function has been reported as inconsistent. The fitness centre is small, with a few cardio and strength machines. Bicycle rental is available on-site. The pool area also features sun loungers and towels. These facilities are free for guests and provide good post-game recovery or relaxation after a day of business or sightseeing.

The hotel offers a range of practical services: a shared lounge/TV area, a minimarket on site, and vending machines. A business centre with free fax/photocopying and meeting/banquet facilities (surcharge) supports business travellers. Safety deposit boxes are free. Lift access is available, and the property has facilities for disabled guests. Laundry and dry cleaning are offered for a fee. The 24-hour front desk can handle special requests. Accessible parking is available. Express check-in/out and luggage storage help streamline arrivals and departures.
