San Diego Old Town Amtrak Station is the closest train station. Public transportation is available, but having a car can be convenient for exploring farther areas. Many eateries and bars are within a 5-minute walk, including Woody's Breakfast And Burgers, El Prez, and Rum Jungle Cafe.

Room options include female-only dormitories, coed dormitories (with 8 or 10 beds), and private rooms (double rooms with ensuite bathroom). Private rooms are upstairs and feature a queen bed, mini fridge, TV, and a workspace. Some private rooms offer sea views and air conditioning. Dorm rooms offer twin-size beds with an electric plug, and lockers are available (backpack size; suitcases stay near the bunk).
